Free Full-Length MET Mock Tests (Michigan English Test)

Four complete simulations of the real Michigan English Test (MET). Each mock runs the official section order with its real clock - Listening (50 questions, 35 minutes), Reading including grammar (50 questions, 65 minutes), Writing (2 tasks, 45 minutes) and Speaking (5 tasks, 10 minutes) - about three hours in total. Every question is original PrepSettle content written to the public MET test blueprint, with a full answer key and explanations when you finish. No account, no cost, unlimited retakes.

What a MET mock covers, section by section

Each of the four sets on this page is a full four-skill MET simulation. Listening is 50 questions in 35 minutes, built around short conversations, longer exchanges and short talks. Reading is 50 questions in 65 minutes and includes 20 grammar items alongside single-text and multiple-text comprehension. Writing sets two tasks - a short response and an essay - in 45 minutes, and Speaking sets five recorded tasks in 10 minutes, covering picture description, personal experience and opinion. That is the same section order and the same clocks as the official test.

Timing, scoring and the report

Every section runs on its own countdown and locks when it ends, so you cannot drift back into a section you have closed - the constraint the real test enforces. The Listening and Reading answers are marked instantly, and Writing and Speaking are self-assessed against the task guidance with timers and word counts.

MET is a multilevel test with no pass or fail, so the useful output is not a single pass mark but a per-skill read. The report breaks your performance down by skill, then lets you open any Listening or Reading question in review with the correct answer and the reason behind it. Set that against the bar you actually need: MET has been DHA-approved for Australian skilled visas since August 2025, where Competent English is 56 Listening, 55 Reading, 57 Writing and 48 Speaking, and Proficient English is 61/63/74/59. It is also accepted by 34 U.S. state boards for nursing licensure, each with its own minimum.
