PrepSettle provides free MET and CELPIP practice tests and related information. This policy explains how we handle your data.

No Account Required

You can take every practice test on PrepSettle without creating an account or providing personal information. Reading and listening answers are evaluated in your browser. Writing responses are sent to our scoring endpoint for automated evaluation. Speaking recordings are uploaded for transcription, and the resulting transcription is sent to our scoring endpoint.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are viewed, time on page, and basic location data. No personally identifying information is collected through this service. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

Third-Party Services

Our server-side scoring features use DeepSeek for writing, speaking, and answer explanations. Speaking audio is sent through Groq's transcription service before the transcription is scored. We do not claim a provider retention period here; third-party processing is governed by the providers' current policies and terms.

What we collect

The current site does not implement account-based score history or progress storage. Results and speaking recordings are held in the current browser session while you complete a test. We do not ask for your name, address, or government ID to use the site.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use Google Analytics to measure site traffic. The practice engines keep active answers and recordings in browser memory for the current session. You can block or delete analytics cookies in your browser settings; doing so will not prevent you from taking practice tests.

Data retention and security

The site does not provide a user account or long-term score profile. Uploaded material is processed for the requested transcription or scoring operation; temporary server handling and third-party provider processing may occur as part of that request. We apply reasonable technical measures to protect data in transit. Because no online service is completely secure, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us.

Children's privacy

PrepSettle is intended for users preparing for adult immigration and study tests. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services change. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and the “last updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
