About PrepSettle

PrepSettle is an independent practice platform for the two English-language tests most commonly accepted for immigration to Canada and Australia: the Michigan English Test (MET) and the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP).

We provide full-length MET and CELPIP practice tests across all four skill areas — listening, reading, writing, and speaking — at no cost and without requiring an account or login. Writing and speaking responses receive automated practice feedback based on the published rating criteria for each test; these estimates are not official scores.

Our goal is simple: give every test-taker a way to prepare honestly, see where they stand, and understand what to improve — without a paywall.

Why PrepSettle exists

Commercial preparation for an immigration English test or a nursing entrance exam can cost more than the exam itself, and the free samples the exam bodies publish are short and often identical on every attempt. PrepSettle was built for the candidate who cannot justify that spend — someone revising alone, after a shift or between classes, who needs real practice rather than a sales page. Every mock and drill here is open without an account, a trial or a card, and nothing is held back behind a sign-up wall.

How the practice content is built and checked

The questions on this site are written for PrepSettle rather than copied from a study guide or a past paper. Each one is tied to a stated part of the exam blueprint — a skill, a task type or a sub-content area — so a full practice set covers the ground the real test covers in roughly the same proportions. Every question carries a written rationale, not just a letter answer, so that a wrong response teaches something.

Claims about the exams themselves — section counts, timings, scoring scales and visa thresholds — are taken from the exam bodies' own published materials: ATI's exam details and help centre, the CELPIP and MET format pages, and the Department of Home Affairs and IRCC guidance pages. Those figures are re-checked periodically and dated on the pages that state them, because a threshold or a section length can change.

All test names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. We operate independently to provide accessible practice resources for test-takers worldwide.

What PrepSettle is not

PrepSettle is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to ATI, IRCC, the Australian Department of Home Affairs, or Cambridge and Michigan Language Assessment. We do not administer a test, issue official scores or results, book test dates, or give immigration advice. A practice score here is a study signal only; an official result comes from the exam body and nowhere else. If a fact or an answer on the site looks wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
